On Jan. 22, a varied group gathered to enjoy dinner served by Linda and Wally Bricker at Horse and Buggy Dinners on Shedd Road just east of Middlefield.
Estefania Ortega Flores, aka Estefi, a Mexican native, and Carise and Parker Jamison of Holmes County enjoyed this dinner as guests of local, Lori Gorrell.
Estefi is from Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, Mexico (central Mexico) and has been in Burton interning and learning about mixing rubber compounds at Hexpol Compounding, Burton Rubber for the past couple weeks. Her father heads the Hexpol Compounding plant in Aguascalientes, Mexico. Flores, in her second year at Universidad Autonoma de Aguascalientes, studies bioengineering. “I am really enjoying my stay,” she said. “Never before have I seen the snow.” She travelled to Mentor during the snow storm during the second week in January. She will head back to Mexico this week.
Daily, Linda and Wally Bricker open their home to serve dinner for 10-40 guests. Contact them for reservations.
Lumar Vargas from Cleveland, attended with her husband Emanuel to celebrate his birthday. The Vargas’ chose to spend his birthday weekend in Geauga County, stayed at the Red Maple Inn in Burton and had plans to catch “The Three Musketeers” at the Geauga Lyric Theater.
Lynda Nemeth, executive director Destination Geauga, DG office manager, Pegi Dickson and husband Richard Dickson also attended.
