Graduation class of 2016 (MP Photo/LG)

Leadership Geauga County has a lot to celebrate this year.  D. Kevin O’Reilly was awarded the 2016 Emerald Leader, Leadership Geauga’s highest honor.  Kevin has been a servant leader in Geauga County for 47 years and has generously given of his time and talents for the betterment of our community. Leadership Geauga graduated the twenty-first class from their signature leadership program and the seventh youth program class. Nearly 700 adults and 150 youth have graduated as program alumni. These individuals serve in a variety of capacities as leaders within our community. The Leadership Geauga Board of Trustees selected Melanie Scanlon, M.Ed. to succeed Dr. Bob Faenhle as the organization’s executive director. Dr. Bob retired June 2016 after almost twelve years of leadership and service to the organization. Four community leaders were nominated to the Leadership Geauga Board of Trustees: Frank Antenucci, Andy Bushman, Jim Dvorak and Paul O’Reilly. They replaced outgoing trustees Nick Gorris, Felicia Hough, Jim Laudato, and Rachel Strong who we thank for their commitment to our organization. For information visit www.leadershipgeauga.org.
