Thank you to the more than 60 individuals who attended the Geauga Faith Rescue Mission (GFRM ) open house on Feb. 16.  GFRM still has a way to go before they can establish a permanent mission in Geauga County. So donations are greatly appreciated. Volunteers and organizations are needed to help provide meals on a regular basis.

Geauga Faith Rescue Mission (GFRM), a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization is establishing programs that may include providing food, shelter, clothing, comfort, hope and guidance to the needy.  There is no homeless shelter in Geauga County. Lack of services has led to families sleeping in cars winter and summer, individuals seeking shelter in open fields, with families being forced back out into the heat, cold and elements.

Planned fundraising events are: Spaghetti Dinners on Saturday, May 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Chardon United Methodist Church, 515 North Street in Chardon and Saturday, Oct. 7 at the Notre Dame Education Center Auditorium, 13000 Auburn Road in Chardon. The evenings will include live music with dinner, video presentations, an informational speaker, as well as both silent and live auctions.  Your support is appreciated.

To volunteer to help with the fundraisers or make a donation, contact Mike, 440-477-7670 or m.farrell@gfrmisson.org.  Online tax deductible donations can be made at
