On Dec. 18, Geauga County Juvenile Court Judge Timothy J. Grendell awarded five Cardinal Middle School students who participate in the Court’s Circles program, with Highest Honors, High Honors, and Honors, for the progress they’ve made in academics and exemplifying skills of leadership.
Circles is a restorative justice program for fifth, sixth, seventh or eighth grade students presented in Geauga County schools by the Geauga County Juvenile Court. Each school selects student participants who have leadership potential. Given the opportunity to participate in Circles, selected students develop leadership skills and, in fact, rise to the level of expectations set forth.
Of the award recipients, Judge Grendell said, “The Court commends these students for their hard work, and look forward to seeing how they apply what they’ve learned in the Circles program as future leaders in our community.”
