The Geauga County Dog Shelter is asking for donations of dog food (canned and dry), bleach, blue Dawn liquid soap, and hot dogs to hide pills. More than 700 dogs are housed in the Geauga Dog Shelter annually.  Donations of unused flea or dog medications can be used.  If the shelter is closed, donations can be left in the outside bin.  The shelter is located at 12513 Merritt Road, Chardon and is open Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Contact the Dog Warden at 440-286-8135.
