“Bras for a Cause” Luncheon

The University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center Auxiliary is hosting their annual Luncheon Tea and “Bras for a Cause” fundraiser on May 4, celebrating cancer survivorship. The event takes place at the Sisters of Notre Dame Community Hall, 3000 Auburn Road, Chardon. Doors open at 10:30 a.m., and the program begins at 11 a.m. Cost is $12 per person, payable in advance or at the door. Reservations are recommended for groups of four or more to guarantee seating together.

The event features the popular “Bras for a Cause” competition and special raffles, including a Willow Tree figure signed by the artist. All proceeds support cancer care at Seidman Cancer Center at UH Geauga Medical Center. In recent years, funds from the tea have purchased wigs for patients undergoing chemotherapy and other items and services not covered by insurance or other funding. 

“Bras for a Cause,” now in its eighth year at UH Geauga, presents bras individually decorated by women in the community to epresent their hosen theme. he bras will be on display at UH Geauga for two weeks efore the vent and ontinue during the tea to collect votes, which may be purchased in the UH Geauga Gift Shop April 24 – May 3 or at the luncheon. Winning entries will be on permanent display in the hospital gift shop. “Bras for a Cause” is open to any area resident.
