Geauga County Veterans Expo will be at the Chardon Senior Center, 12555 Ravenwood Drive, Chardon (44024) on June 15, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participating organizations will be ready to assist with answers to any questions or concerns you may have as a veteran or family member of a veteran. On-site services include benefits information, medical enrollment, claims assistance, medals replacement, records requests, AmVets, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and the Cleveland Vet Center in Maple Heights.
Representatives from RSVP (formerly known as the Retired Senior Volunteer Program), one of the largest volunteer networks in the nation for people 55 and over, can advise on where you can use your skills and talents or develop new ones while serving in a variety of volunteer activities within your community.
County agencies attending the expo include the Auditor’s Office, Office of the Recorder, the Department on Aging, and Geauga Park District. County healthcare agencies Burton Healthcare, Chardon Healthcare, Amelia Grace, and United Way will provide information on how they can help with care needs. Additional agencies in attendance will include Lake County Community College, CapTel No Cost Captioned Telephones, Geauga Community Action, Good Deeds Program, Northeast Ohio Vets Certified Military Talent Employers, Pets for Vets Cleveland Chapter, and Paralyzed Veterans of America Buckeye Chapter.
