Second Graders Visit Swine Creek

Second graders Bentley J. and Will F. search for what animals or insects live in a forest habitat during a field trip to Swine Creek. (MP Photo/CSD)

Our JES second grade pups enjoyed a fun-filled field trip to Swine Creek to learn about nature and habitats. While there, scholars learned a “habitat dance” to help them better understand the five things animals need to survive: food, water, shelter, air and space. The group then explored three habitats: the forest, pond, and meadow to see what animals they could find in each one. Thanks to the wonderful individuals at Swine Creek and our parent volunteers for making this field trip a success for our pups!
