Huntsburg Grange #2541 is making plans for 2020. Their regular meetings are held on the second Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the Huntsburg Town Hall, 16534 Mayfield Road.
March 21, the annual Chili Cook-Off and Chinese auction will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Usual Suspects will return to provide fun and live entertainment. Interested in participating? Contact Colleen at 440-636-3052.
April 25, the annual Grange Month open house and rummage sale is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Town Hall. Lunch will be available.
May 16, the Grange will participate in the annual Great American Clean Up sponsored by Geauga Trumbull and adopt the intersection of Rt. 528 and Rt. 322 to get Huntsburg ready for the Memorial Day Parade.
May 25, the Township holds the Memorial Day ceremony starting at 10:30 a.m. Following the ceremony, the Grange provides free hot dogs, chips and pop for veterans in the pavilion. The museum will be open with veterans display.
June 20, Polar Vortex jazz band will perform at 6 p.m. in the bandstand with the popular Grange cake walk.
July 18, Fort Huntsburg Band country music is scheduled to perform at 6 p.m. in the bandstand.
Sept. 3 – 7, the Huntsburg Grange helps at the Pomona Diner at the Great Geauga County Fair.
Oct. 3 – 4, play Hobo Bingo during the Huntsburg Pumpkin Festival from 3 to 5 p.m.
Nov. 11, the Grange plans a dinner out at a local restaurant and offers to pay for the dinner for any veteran in the restaurant to honor our veterans.
Dec. 14, we will celebrate the Christmas holiday with a pot luck dinner and deliver the gifts purchased for the adopt-a-family program. Canned goods are collected and donated to the Veterans cupboard in Geauga County.
