Burton Elementary School second grade students have been busy working on their Project Based learning skills by developing projects that help their understanding of the weather around them. Various reading assignments, engaging experiments and the actual creation of students’ own respective tools for modeling weather patterns have been created. Some of the inventions for measuring the outdoor elements include a weather vane, and a measuring cup for rainfall. The assignments, and the students’ response to them, are quite impressive. In addition, blending an element of enhanced creativity, students also thoughtfully created acrostic poems about the weather with simplicity and meaning. Way to go, Burton Elementary School second grade students, for your hard work and critical thinking skills!
