     Geauga Park District’s outdoor movie nights and free concerts return this summer with new registration guidelines to help control attendance. Registration is now required for all of the following under Programs & Events at www.geaugaparkdistrict.org or by phone at 440-286-9516.

     Movie “The Martian” (PG-13) on Saturday, July 11. Geauga County registration is open now; out-of-county registration begins July 6. 

     Movie “Up” (PG-13) on Saturday, Aug. 8. Geauga County registration begins July 20; out-of-county registration begins August 1. Movie nights are held at Observatory Park, 10610 Clay St, Montville. Geauga County Public Library’s Fun Bus opens at 8 p.m.. Bring blankets, lawn chairs and refreshments. Cancelled in case of inclement weather. Sorry, due to COVID-19 safety protocols, we will not provide lemonade or popcorn this season. Overall event capacity is limited to 150 people. All participants must be registered; you may register up to 6 people per reservation. People may begin arriving at 7:30 p.m., and must show registration receipt prior to entering the park. To keep social distancing and capacity requirements, only those registered will be permitted entry to the event. Face coverings are encouraged.

     Long Time Gone in Concert, Saturday, July 18, at Big Creek Park, 9160 Robinson Rd., Chardon. Enjoy a tribute to the music of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young and experience precision vocal harmonies, signature guitar work and passion associated with this era of American music! Lawn chairs recommended. Cancelled in inclement weather. Wheelchair/stroller accessible. We will practice social distancing, and face coverings are encouraged.

   Hiram Rapids Stumblers in Concert, Saturday, Aug. 15. Following the great tradition of acoustic music performed live and in the moment, the Hiram Rapids Stumblers practice around a kitchen table, no amplifiers in sight…loud, unrefined and  to the point. Take in this band’s original music as samples from the last 100 years of American music, combining bluegrass, old-time, classic country and rock tossed with some punk sensibilities.
This amphitheater show will be held at Claridon Woodlands 11383 Claridon-Troy Rd., Chardon. instead of the usual amphitheater at Big Creek Park. Bring lawn chairs and/or blankets for seating in the grass. Cancelled in inclement weather. We will practice social distancing, and face coverings are encouraged.

      The PopTarts in Concert, Saturday, Aug. 29, at Big Creek Park, 9160 Robinson Rd., Chardon. In retro 60’s fashion, movement and perfect harmony, The PopTarts perform a decade of top hit favorites from the best of the 60’s girl groups and female pop singers – musically sensational, visually a blast from the past! Lawn chairs are recommended. Cancelled in inclement weather. We will practice social distancing, and face coverings are encouraged.
