Oh My Goodness, Record Setting Month!
Middlefield Care Center has had a bumper crop month. We have welcomed 23 miracles so far this month and 2 days left to go. The Month of May is notoriously slow, usually less than 10 babies a month.
I’m going to let you in on a secret – I am a numbers girl! For real… I love statistics! Numbers don’t lie. It is a clear way to measure progress, or to measure regression.
Currently, the Care Center is in a state of progress. “As I look back on my life, I realized that every time I thought I was being rejected, I was actually being redirected to something better.” And that’s that!
Not that long ago, MCC offered only one care provider option (2017). Currently we offer three different care provider styles and starting to feel growth after 2 years of drastic reconstruction.
I think sometimes people forget the Care Center is owned by the Amish community. Thirty years ago, a brave group paved the way and made the Birth Center an option for the women of this community. A couple of core values from day one continues to be at the core of MCC today. 1) Early prenatal care for safe outcomes. 2) Providing a low risk alternative to home and hospital deliveries. 3) Providing care, no matter the ability to pay. I want to thank all that have contributed to the success of the Care Center.
I am looking for some talented people to write articles pertaining to the history of MCC. We need to preserve MCC’s legacy before it slips away. To be published in the paper prior to the auction in August. Please submit articles to 14999 Lenny Dr. Middlefield, Ohio 44062. Deadline July 6th, 2020. Thank you. Jaime A.
